Courtesy Pay is a policy that allows members to overdraw their share draft (checking) account so that checks and other items are not returned ("bounced"). There is a maximum limit up to which overdrafts will be honored, typically between $200-$500. Members are notified by letter when the Courtesy Pay privilege is provided to them, and the amount of their limit.
